Laura Beohner is the President & Co-Founder of The Healing Rose, which was founded in 2016 after Laura’s dislocated kneecap injury helped her to discover the power of topicals that are infused with a synergy of cannabinoids, herbs, and essential oils. Laura received her bachelor’s in business administration, with a focus on entrepreneurship and marketing, from Northeastern University.  She has been a medical cannabis patient for 7+ years and believes that cannabis and hemp are a Master Plant that can change the World. Laura has been a public speaker at conventions and trade shows all over New England for the past 4 years and is passionate about teaching others about topics such as Infusions, Topicals, Marketing, Entrepreneurship, Branding & Women in Cannabis. Laura is the Director and one of the founders of the Massachusetts Hemp Coalition. Additionally, Laura is on the Board of Directors for Elevate Northeast and is on the Board of Directors for Northeast Sustainable Hemp Association (NOSHA). She spends her free time volunteering in her community as a youth girls basketball coach.

Zach McInnis was a chef for nearly 10 years and naturally has the mind of a formulator. He is passionate about helping others, as well as takes a great deal of pride in creating the highest quality products possible by making sure every ingredient meets our incredibly high standards for all certified organic, cruelty free, paraben free, GMO free, and fair trade when possible.

Julia Jerome, Director of Production

Julia was hired as the first employee of The Healing Rose team in April 2018 and is now the Director of Production, spending her days directing the entire production lab as they handcraft products. She spent the majority of her life in the Hudson Valley, New York. While attending college, Julia developed severe digestive issues. For a couple of years she went undiagnosed, trying many medications that provided nothing but side effects. During this difficult time she turned to cannabis to treat her symptoms, where she felt the impact of the stigma due to living in New York. Around the time she was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis, an Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD), she moved in with a friend in Connecticut and began researching how people were using cannabis and hemp to treat IBD. Shortly after she became a CT medical patient. Julia was obsessed with learning everything she could about this plant, taking many classes and attending events. While she gained a better understanding on what to look for in strains, she became frustrated with the CT pharmaceutical model, often feeling like she knew more than the people helping her at the dispensary. She decided that she needed to be a part of the New England Cannabis Industry to ensure that people had access to the education needed to determine the best way to use cannabis and hemp in their lives. She is grateful to be a part of such an accepting community and loves providing education and products that help make a difference in people’s lives. In her free time, Julia is just as passionate about the outdoors as she is about cannabis and hemp, and is happiest exploring trails.
